I’m going to download this as an MP3 file to put on my iPod so that whenever I’m feeling down I can listen to it and remember that things can get better.
Great speech. I hope if it comes down to it, our troops will be on the side of the people, and that the people will put down their petty differences and stand together.

I saw The Great Dictator several years ago, and it was great then, but I think the modern day images really add a lot of power to the speech.
Just what the Mental Doctor ordered. Sad to see that this speech hasn’t traveled thru the time line to grab those folks that need their mind and attention fixed
I first saw this when I was 19 years old and a freshman at college. It brought tears to my eyes. Here it is, 35 years later, and it brought me to tears again. Thank you so very much for posting that. I put it on my facebook wall.
Charlie Chaplin’s, “The Great Dictator” was his first movie that I ever saw and I will never forget this speech. Thank you for posting this. Together we can make a better world.
Nice to meet another believer. Very ‘kickass’ indeed.
This is wonderful. Thanks for sharing it. I’m watching it for the second time. It resonates throughout time. Hopefully we can acheive it one day.

Thanks for checking out my blog! You rock!
Very apropos … then and now. That speech stirs the heart no matter how many times one listens.
Blessings – Maxi
I caught this on Youtube a while ago. unfortunately, no one seems to get the message since this is based on an old movie.
I have to agree. Shame that we have to see this presented to us by a comedian rather than a real leader.
